The land
Trīsuļi, Kurzeme — a northern European landscape where the experiment has a physical home.

The farm is not a finished model. It is a living laboratory where we experiment, observe, learn and share what we discover. Latvia is where the experiment begins.
Our work begins in Latvia, where we are exploring how syntropic principles can be adapted to northern European conditions. Follow the land as the record grows.

Trīsuļi, Kurzeme — a northern European landscape where the experiment has a physical home.

Short seasons, frost, different light. The North asks questions that warmer syntropic models were not built to answer alone.

Early, honest, in motion. We are building a living laboratory — not presenting a finished system.

Rows, species combinations, biomass and management tested in real northern conditions.

Fruit, nuts, support species and understory — chosen and revised as the seasons answer back.

Winter, spring, summer, autumn. The journal is the place those observations accumulate.

Documented as it happens. Follow the farm rather than waiting for a polished after-story.

Cold, time, economics, and ideas that do not transfer. Challenges are part of the public record.

What practice is beginning to show — including what did not work — so others can begin with more confidence.
An unfolding record. Expand a year to follow the transformation over time.
Observing the land. Asking the question. The living laboratory starts as attention, not as a finished design.
First syntropic rows and public practice — including trial work such as the Zadiņi demonstration — so learning can be walked, not only described.
Seasons continue to answer. What works, what fails and what must be adapted is documented as it happens.
The next years will deepen the experiment. This timeline will grow as the living laboratory does.
